Thomas is an experienced couple psychotherapist and individual psychotherapist. He is based in London. In private practice, he sees couples and individuals online via Zoom.

All relationships can go through turbulent times. Relationship problems can cast a cloud over many aspects of life – including personal happiness and general well-being. If issues are unresolved, the same hurtful patterns can repeat in a vicious cycle. Where emotions run high, communication can be very difficult. Not only can partners feel confused and stuck, but they can also feel isolated, angry, or overwhelmed as they struggle to understand each other’s perspectives.

In addition to his couple therapy training, Thomas is trained in Mentalization-Based Treatment for couples. This is an approach to working with couples that helps them to manage the difficult feelings and situations that happen in daily life. He works collaboratively with couples to reduce communication difficulties and conflict. He aims to help couples successfully address the issues that get in the way of happier and more supportive relating. The individuals and the couple can gain strength from the experience, becoming more able to navigate life’s ups and downs.

When a couple struggles, the ripples of that struggle can affect their parenting and their children. As an accredited Parents as Partners Group Facilitator, Thomas is experienced in working with co-parenting couples to facilitate conversation, strengthen collaboration, reduce parental conflict, and enjoy a more satisfying relationship.

Following his BSc (Hons) in Psychology, Thomas trained at Tavistock Relationships, a world-renowned centre of excellence for training in couple therapy. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Couple and Individual Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy, and an MA (Distinction) in Couple Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.

Alongside his private practice, Thomas is a visiting clinician at Tavistock Relationships. Previously, he has been a tutor and trainer on the Tavistock Relationships PG Dip/MA in psychodynamic psychotherapy.

He is a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and a registered member of the British Psychoanalytic Council.
